ERH Refrigerated Transport - ASCLA Site Visit

Yesterday’s Australasian Supply Chain and Logistics Association (ASCLA) site visit at ERH Refrigerated Transport (Fernhurst Logistics) gave participants insight into the discipline behind moving 2,500+ pallets each day through a tightly coordinated inbound–morning / outbound–afternoon cycle.
With xdock customer load data received at 4:13pm by ERH, carriers are able to plan and confirm booking times within minutes in Mobiledock—most by 4:30pm. Bookings are then locked at midnight, an enhancement driven by ERH to ensure consistency and control.
The impact:
• 3 hours earlier shift completion on peak days
• 100 trucks/day, 2,500 pallets/day — controlled and predictable
• 1.5 hours earlier carrier comms
